About

High School is not free in Kenya. At Kenya Education Fund, we: • make sure that promising girls and boys are able to complete high school in Kenya when their families do not have the resources to educate them • partner with 150 high schools across Kenya • award about a hundred scholarships annually compared to the thousands of students that go through our rigorous application and vetting process • cover school fees, room & board, textbooks, uniforms, shoes, sanitary pads, scientific calculators and more • host a series of Life Skills and Career Readiness workshops to help our scholars qualify for university and choose a career path that is right for them Since 2002, more than 3,000 Kenyan students have benefited from our scholarship. Roughly 80% of them have transitioned to universities in Kenya and around the world, including Harvard, Middlebury and Amherst. Our Alumni Association was created by former KEF beneficiaries with the purpose of helping to sustain our organization and to ‘give back’ in recognition of all they have received.
